The 2016 Democratic National Convention
Philadelphia, PA
The Democratic National Convention brought Democratic Party delegates to Philadelphia, PA in late July to nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton and Tim Caine to the 2016 presidential ticket. The days-long event was dedicated to developing a series of policy platforms, celebrating the progress made by the Obama Administration, and highlighting the ideals of the Democratic Party.
The Convention was stacked with performances from A-list artists like Demi Lovato, Alicia Keys, and Katy Perry. Political All-Stars like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama took to the mic with stellar addresses to the country as a whole. Caine and Clinton each accepted their party's nomination, capping off an inspiring DNC that could be wrapped up with the new motto Michelle Obama introduced in her speech: "When they go low, we go high".
