Celebrating the Past, Present, and Future of Protest Music

Synopsis: Music for Changing Times was a landmark benefit concert for Music2Life, an organization dedicated to fostering social change through music. One Foot was brought on board to research and develop the script for Music for Changing Times, which was presented in Ventura, California by the Rubicon Theatre Company. Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary headlined the event, which also included performances from artist-activists like Decora, Aisha Fukushima, Naima Shalhoub, and Tem Blessed. 

Intent: The objective of this concert was to amplify the voices of contemporary activist-artists who are carrying on the tradition of protest music for a new generation. With Music for Changing Times, we aim to highlight the impact that music continues to have in social justice movements around the world.
