One Foot Productions is looking for a contract or part-time UI/UX Developer who can work remotely but also be available for meetings and collaboration as needed in the NYC area. This would start immediately. (Note: This is not a full time job and is best for someone who is good at managing their own time and workload.)

Our current product is a web-based (SaaS) event production solution that has been used internally for the past 10+ years to primarily manage schedule and travel logistics details on live television shows and celebrity events. The product was redesigned a couple years ago with the goal to release on a larger scale as free software for the event industry. We we have primarily worked with a remote dev team but are currently looking for a local UI/UX developer who can work with the existing designs to build out new features as well as refactor/clean up the current UI. Eventually we would like to start building a mobile application/view so interest and experience with that is a plus.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with our current user base and dev team.

  • Illustrate design ideas & design graphic user interface elements

  • Design, build, and code reusable React components

  • Work with existing offsite dev team to integrate components, test, and release on a regular basis.

  • Work with our internal users to observe user interactions, identify and troubleshoot UX problems and modify and refactor interfaces as needed.

While this person will be working closely with our team, we are primarily an entertainment event production company and so we are looking for someone who can be self directed, create, manage and be accountable to development milestones without daily supervision.

One Foot Productions is a multifaceted company with experience in creative development, talent booking and logistics management on large scale, celebrity driven entertainment events. We produce a boutique music festival in the mountains of California and are actively pitching and pursuing opportunities related to original music series, theater and experiential content. We also have a custom logistics software platform that we continue to develop and plan for a wider release in 2019.

If you are interested in being considered for this position, please submit your information and recent resume at the below link.  We expect to hold interviews for a select number of candidates in Jan 2019 and the position will start as soon after that as possible.
